Hey Reader,

It’s my 26th birthday today!

I wanted to use today as an opportunity to let you know that, no matter how far along in life you feel (whether you feel ahead or behind or a little bit of both), you have come a long way. And you deserve to give yourself credit for that journey.

Think about it, no matter how far you’ve gone exactly, you are a different person today than you were a year ago, or 5 or 10, or more. And you created that for yourself.

What’s something you can give yourself credit for living through and coming out on the other side? In what ways did you grow and learn?

What’s something you didn’t know how to do a year ago that you DO know how to do today?

Any answer to these questions is proof you have come SO far.

And regardless of whether you feel like you should be farther, smarter, or more of anything, there’s value in where you are now.

Remind yourself that A) you’re farther than you were, and B) you get to start where you are.

There’s so much power in that.

Introducing The DIY Wellness Podcast

One of the things I made progress in this past year was learning how to podcast with one of my longtime life coach friends, Brian Hogan. We’ve recently started a new version of our show called “DIY Wellness” - the show for people taking personal growth into their own hands.

In each episode, Brian and I explain and experiment with different methods for improving well-being, all so you can create your own informed opinions, and decide for yourself which methods you want to take or leave.

I hit up one of my favorite places, Greece and the island of Mykonos in early April right before their tourist season officially kicked off and walked away with the best pre-summer experience and a more cost effective trip to the island that didn’t break my wallet.

→ Why the best morning routine is a CUSTOM one

→How you can create a routine customized for you, your goals, and your life?

An exercise to feel more confident in your plan for your day

“Sometimes I find myself feeling frozen by too many options for how I can spend my time. There’s a million things on my to-do list, but just choosing where to start sometimes feels like the hardest part.”

If yes, here’s something you can try.

Step 1: Ask yourself “How do I want to feel by the end of the day today?”

For example, do you want to feel productive? Confident? Calm? Etc.?

Step 2: Once you’ve picked a word or two to describe how you want to feel, ask “What needs to get done/happen in order for me to feel that way?”

Write down a few options. This will help your brain self-select a few tasks that are most aligned with your goals and what your priorities are for the day.

Step 3: If any of the tasks feel intimidating when you look at them, break that item down into smaller, more manageable steps, and start with just one step that feels LESS intimidating.

I’ve found that using these three steps helps me cut through the noise in my mind and refocus on putting energy into what will feel the most rewarding at the end of the day.
